Treatment Approach
Central to my therapeutic approach is my belief that at our core
we are all relational beings, created to be in relationship with others. I strive to collaborate with other counselors and choose to work in a team
setting of peers who challenge, encourage, and support me to continuously
develop my counselor identity and personal wellness. In addition I am a member
of the Northern Virginia Counselors Association, the Christian
Association for Psychological Studies, and the American Counseling Association to continue to build
professional relationships and stay informed.
To ensure the best practices and client care I
will provide referrals to meet your specific needs (Referrals for Clients) as well as partnering with schools, churches, and other counseling practices to
provide care for children, individuals, couples, and families (Referral
Partners). In an effort towards prevention, education and advocacy for families
I partner with schools and churches providing parenting workshops for various
developmental ages as well as offering group counseling to children and adults to
address emotional regulation, social anxiety, complex grief, and trauma.
